New car, begging to go on a little road trip yesterday, we ended up in Chichester - a treat for me!
I bought fabric! I needed some for a new Bee, I needed some for an idea I'd had for my sister's birthday present and I needed some for my sanity. Eternal Maker to the rescue.
I now have Kei dots, only FQs, so don't shout at me...
I now have some voile, flannel and more herons...
And the postman also finally showed up with my last Christmas present from my sister c/o Amazon...
It looks brilliant, and I am thinking I need to make one of these soon, 20" zipper and all...
Maybe for when I have somewhere to go in June?!
gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm coming to the retreat too (although only for one day) and I can't wait!
Remind me - where is it you're going in June??
ReplyDelete3 goes at word verification, it's gone a bit weird, really hard to read!
ReplyDeleteI've got ten super long zips in bright blue if you want one. And this new word verification is going to cause me to stop commenting it is so irritating and hard to read. Blogger needs to make it vaguely interpretable!
ReplyDeleteLovely buys Hadley and know you will do something amazing in the new bee. That book looks cool too - off to add to the evergrowing wishlist!
ReplyDeletePLEASE PRETTY PLEASE GET RID OF THE WORD VERIFICATION. I`M BEGGIN` YER.
I have that book on my mental wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI also want word verification banned. I often comment on your blog and have navigated off the page before I've realised I have to scroll down and do the word verification. I rarely go back to re do :-( and the new verification thingy is no easy to read....
We're off to a wedding near Chicester later this year, I might have to persuade Hubs to take us on a detour on the way home...... I think the herons might be worth the nagging!
ReplyDeleteooooo i am just waiting for that same book to arrive !!! love the dots and herons !!
ReplyDeleteAh, a new pouch to hold all your pouches, perfect!
ReplyDeleteYeah.. the Word Verification thing sucks!!! I can't leave sneaky comments when I'm supposed to be working cus it takes about an hour to figure out what the bloody thing says! x
ReplyDeleteGreat fabrics and looks like a fab book too! Jxo
ReplyDeleteSanity shopping, I like it! Given that you've started so early you can make me a bunch of stuff for June too, 'k? ;o)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where my comment has gone - instead of the usual 'your comment has been saved' I got 'sign up to blogger'...I'm going to save this one before publishing in case it goes the same way!
ReplyDeleteSo...oh yes...I think it's a good job I don't live closer to E.Maker! I love your new fabric and I'm looking forward to seeing lots of lovely makes from your new book. Good luck with wrestling with the 20" zip! (Hope no word verification goes smoothly...)
Fingers crossed...
so, where are you going in june? ;) kidding. love those dots, i am amazed you were able to stop with just fat quarters! what are you planning on making with your voile?
ReplyDeleteI love Chichester, great fabric as always and that book looks pretty good too!
ReplyDeleteLove the dots... ANOTHER BEE? You're cheating on us already?!! lol
ReplyDeleteI love this book. And your fabric. Some of my favorites. Deb.
ReplyDeleteThat book is on my "want list". Can't wait to see if you make that great sewing zipper thingy.
ReplyDeleteYou could be my stalker. I ordered some fabrics from Eternal Maker! the package just came in the post today. You can see the fabrics I bought on my blog as well as

I ran into the double word verification all over blog world this morning. One word is fairly easy to read and the other is squinty!
ReplyDeleteBut when I turned off the verification late last year, I got my first spam - had to turn it back on. Maybe Blogger will makes these words easier to decipher soon.
Love the Zakka book. Author has a good way of combining fabrics in a fresh way. Lot of scrappy goodness projects too.
I love the book, and I am sure you deserved the new fabric! As well as needing it.
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is just making my swoon...and your book looks super special - lots of great projects there to make us all drool :)
ReplyDeleteLove those dots!! Are you making a hold all for all these June makes? ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice haul! Does that mean my copy of Zakka Style will finally turn up from amazon too! Feels like I've been waiting forever!
ReplyDeleteOH so yummy! Love the fabric and I MUST get that book!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun trip! I expect to see lots of fun new projects from that book. And hooray for no word verification!
ReplyDelete....is something happening in June?
ReplyDeleteLucky you!! Yes, please pattern test the organizer, then let us know how it works out b/c I have the book too and that's one of the things I would love to make!
ReplyDeleteI'm as sucker for socks too.
ReplyDeletethat book looks fab let us all know if it is as good as it looks! cute fabric too x
ReplyDeleteBook looks fab...and knowing you, you'll have made that organiser by the weekend! x
ReplyDeletebest reason I've heard to buy a new car! Great buys - must get down there myself!
ReplyDeleteso jealous, haven't been able to get down there in ages! xx
ReplyDeleteLOL, your "don't leave spam" comment warning is pretty funny, I see that those folks that go here before me had some influence on you. I love that book and what lovely fabric. Always fun to go somewhere in a car that is new to you.
ReplyDeleteUm, why are you BUYING books like this? You should be writing them, then you can tell the silly old tax man to sod off!
ReplyDeleteThat book looks like great fun. I can't wait to get these UFOs out of my way so I can play!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pouch with the zip. Have you seen the tutorial that Ikatbag did on sewing a continuous zip - looks totally doable and much neater for a pouch like this one.

Can't wait to see the finished product.
