***The Giveaway Is Now Closed***
I am linking up with Lucy in an attempt to rid myself of my fugly scraps with a clear conscience! There is something inherently wrong in throwing away fabric, no matter how truly awful it is, and this little lot has been languishing here far too long. These are proper fuglies, none of that 'I will never get round to using it' or 'I liked it at the time' nonsense! A few came from swaps, and are just so 'not me' but mostly pot-luck scrap bag purchases; do not judge me!
I tried to make them look pretty! |
I have no idea what any of it is, so don't ask; on the flip side, if you can name any of the lines, I really would keep quiet!
I will close the giveaway at 6pm (GMT) Tuesday 14th February. Call it a twisted Valentine's present!
Disclaimer: I cannot and will not be held responsible in any way, shape or form, for the horrors you may create with these fabrics, or the psychological damage that will be inflicted on the recipient. You enter this giveaway at your own risk.
Not nearly as fugly as mine - and I don't even have the scrap bag excuse!
ReplyDeleteha ha! I bet I could come up with some worse fuglies than these.
ReplyDeleteSome of those squares are okay. All the brown ones I could send to Rhonda!!
ReplyDeleteThey are not that bad! Seriously, I could show your fugly's a thing or two!!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure all these are fugly??
ReplyDeleteI definitely have worse in my stash...some of those are pretty!
ReplyDeleteThese aren't so bad. I would definitely put some of them to use!
ReplyDeleteSeriously not so fugly! I have waaaay worse in my stash!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! They're not so bad!
ReplyDeleteShoot me quick but I am quite drawn to your second bunch! Bet I can find worse in my stash!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't turn any of that stuff down, so you an imagine how truly horrible some of the fabric in my stash is.
ReplyDeleteI think that is the first time I am sooo happy that my stash is very small ^^
ReplyDeleteFor someone who doesn't like brown... that's quite a lot. Just sayin' ;-)
ReplyDeleteHa HahHa!! You're hilarious!! I'd be more than happy to turn some of your fuglies into charity quilts! :0)
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
I LAUGHED out loud at that purple spider fabric!! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'd use them in a charity quilt or def one I'd giveaway....maybe back to you!! :)
The oranges and purples look pretty cute, those bubble gum pinks on the other hand...
ReplyDeletethey are not all baaaaad almost all !!
ReplyDeleteI think these fabrics have a lot of potential. i love your avatar. corbitt56@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI don't think those fabrics are fugly at all! Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are a hoot!! Why aren't you on twitter?? I am going to take your dare and reply "No, thank you." I am a terrible liar!!
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I actually like a lot of them - oh dear! Jxo
ReplyDeleteIs that really a spider with a large purple abdomen?
ReplyDeleteThere are a few in there that aren't that bad!
ReplyDeleteAhh, some of them aren't that bad.
ReplyDeleteAh I have some of this fabric on my Fugly Fabric...!
ReplyDeleteDespite my deep reservations on what fugli means to anybody, I will enter this giveaway.
ReplyDeletePerhaps if I win, and they are fuglis to me as well, I can pass them on to a 4-H leader I know who surely knows what fugli is.
You have beautiful scraps! I especially love the second to the last picture. Somebody's gonna be one lucky winner! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the purple/dark lilac background and the 'leaf design' Call me weird if you like! xx
ReplyDeletetoo funny, I see a charm square that I included in a swap in that lot!
ReplyDeletecount me in.... I wouldn't mind some of those at all. Mixed in with the right other fabrics I think they could be cute.
ReplyDeleteThey're not so bad - I think I could use a fair bit of it!
ReplyDeletePlease please hunt me down! I'd love to get all those charms.
ReplyDeleteI actually LIKE some of those! What does that say about ME? I don't think there is any such thing as an ugly fabric. Put it in the right setting and it is okay. Well, there may be some uglies out there....
ReplyDeleteI love your disclaimer!
ReplyDeleteI guess that beauty is really in the eye of the beholder... I've rarely *ever* met a fabric that I didn't like... and I tend to always pull for the underdog, so maybe that explains something... LOL Anyway, I do a good bit of applique, and those... let's say *unusual*... fabrics sometimes are PERFECT for a small piece of a design! Thank you for sharing your scrap bag with us! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me love! Please dont judge me but I really want that rainbow charm pack!!!
ReplyDeleteI meant to say laugh ;-) Hope this doesnt count!
DeleteI think most of it is pretty cute! I'd take it no problem!
ReplyDeleteOh, go on then... ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow your post made me giggle. I love the second enlarged picture fabrics i could see myself making something quite nice with these.
ReplyDeleteCheck mine out for a real fugly http://ibescheraldine.blogspot.com/p/fugly-fabrics.html
ok im ashamed now to admit I like quite a few of them :) my daughter loved the bottom ones and wants to make another dolly quilt with them, *she's 4* :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right-they're Fugly. You dare track me down, and I'll send full on fuglies your way. I'm serious
ReplyDeleteI actually quite like pack 3, and pack 2 has some possibilities (not quite sure what though) but pack 1 I have to agree with the fugly status!
ReplyDeletePot-luck scrap bags! Don't believe you. You are right though - totally fugly. Pick someone else to off-load them onto! ;)
ReplyDeleteToo funny! My eyes are streaming from my cold but they definately look a bit dodgy... although I did hop over to Cherie's and her fabrics are giving you a run for your money! (No offence Cherie!) xx
ReplyDeleteI love the purple ones count me in.
ReplyDeletehttp//richardquilts.blogspot.com
Oh, they are great ! Really not fugly
ReplyDeletewow - love the second pile - I'm sure I could put them to good use !
ReplyDeleteI think that those fabrics belong in a Bonnie Hunter style quilt. As she says, "If the fabric is still ugly, you didn't cut it small enough!"
ReplyDeleteI like the purple leaf charm but I think you can include it with the others for someone else! Lovely fuglies!
ReplyDeleteyou're hilarious :)
ReplyDeleteFunny! My Husband is going to be wondering abuot me - laughing out loud upstairs at the computer - he'll be checking my history!
ReplyDeleteActually I do like those prints. Maybe it's me who is a bit twisted ... I have been having some strange cravings lately and watering at the mouth about those All Beef Hotdogs on TV. But we could be a match made in Heaven - your fuglies and me. :0
I promise to use them to the best of my ability - To make them as cute and pretty as possible - And treat them with utmost love and respect! Cross my heart! X

You are too funny! i'll enter, these might help all some variety to the postage stamp quilt I'm making :)
ReplyDeleteI like some of those, I'd happily take them off your hands.
ReplyDeleteI never turn down free fabric. I always find a use for it.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely. Not fugly at all! :)
ReplyDeleteSome are OK, and some might look great cut into teeny tiny squares and sewn togehter so you can't tell what it is ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't like the spider one though, or the weird one that looks like balls of string- bleurgh!
Oh, little pieces of fabric are always great for making picnic quilts.
ReplyDeleteFree fabric is always a plus!
One lady's fugly is another lady's quilt block! Ha! Actually not ashamed to admit that I like a few of them!
ReplyDeleteI actually like a lot of these! They would be great for applique.
ReplyDeletefugly fabric? bring it on!
ReplyDeleteTo quote Bonnie Hunter, if a fabric is still (f)ugly, you just haven't cut it small enough! I can envision uses for these...
ReplyDeleteI am willing to take the risk to give your fuglies a new home.
ReplyDeleteI think with all the fugly fabric around, we need to do a fugly make party! Show us what you make with the fugly!
ReplyDeleteOne person's fugly might not be another's. I like the oranges.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I like some of those quite a bit (okay, stop looking at me like that...NOW who's judging, huh??). Please put my name in the hat :)
ReplyDeleteWEll, I think that Bundle #2 is NOT ugly. =) Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteUmmm... don't judge me, but I like them all LOL... especially the browns lol
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny! I would love the challenge of taking on your "fugly" scraps!
ReplyDeleteThe fabric is terrific! I make prayer quilts for our church ministry and would love to use the fabric in the quilts! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love to take the pink/brown fabrics!! I love that combination. I have had fabric that I would consider more fugly than yours in my stash at one point (when I first started patchwork/quilting, they were someone's scraps!)
ReplyDeleteThese are certainly interesting fuglies. I know I would put them to good use somehow . I actually think they are interesting and would love to own the, thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI gotcha beat, for sure. I never say no to fabric.
ReplyDeleteDare I say it? I actually think the bottom set of Fuglies look interesting! Please count me in!

ReplyDeleteoof, diving in to take the risk.
ReplyDeleteI am so tired of using the same ole scraps - fugly or not they would make a great change in what I'm using
ReplyDeleteI would stilllll take them! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the pinks and the purples and combined, I think they would all look good together. As they say, one persons trash is another persons treasure. I could definately treasure these. Thanks for the chance to win. Joyce-ccarter13@windstream.net
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance! I would love to win!
ReplyDeleteThose are totally not the fugliest scraps ever.
ReplyDeletenot that bad, really!!!
