Today I finished my Mouthy Stitches pouch!!
But as it was dark by the time I finished, you will just have to make do with a few in-progress 'flap shots' for tonight...
As you can see, I had a total about-face and plumped for a lime zip and lining, in reality far zingier than the photos. Sorry partner, if you are looking in and had your heart set on one of the earlier choices, but going off at a total tangent is a Mama's prerogative, (well any maker's to be honest); I played for ages and these really did look the best, trust me.
I am hoping that when I wake up, to a beautiful crisp white vista tomorrow, I will be able to get some lovely bright pictures to show the purse off in full. Should the snow, that is now gently falling, not come to much, I will attempt to do my best with a background of disappointed children and redundant sledges.
The lime looks great to me! Hope you awaken to a wintry wonderland!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I hope this is for me! It's fabulous xx
ReplyDeleteLOVR Lime :) Already a white out here, hope you've got your sunnies ready!
ReplyDeleteWow - it looks amazing even just in snapshot! We're expecting 10cms of snow, it's falling well now, the kids are very excited...
ReplyDeleteI like what I see so far! I got mine finished tonight too! Jxo
ReplyDeleteSend some my way, please - that's the snow and the pouch!
ReplyDeleteMine were out in the snow in the dark 'just in case it wasn't there in the morning'. The pouch looks sooooo good. Do you think I will ever get my linen order so I can make mine?
ReplyDeleteWell I hope I am your swap partner b/c that looks gorgeous already!
ReplyDeleteoh, I hope the kids are not dissapointed tomorrow! I have two older ones who are desperate for snow!
ReplyDeletelove the lime zip and lining ... so zingy!
ReplyDeletesnow is making a good attempt in my street ... so fingers crossed for white loveliness tomorrow (and it all to clear up by Monday so I don't have to careen down the steepest hill in Bton to work!)
... nice flaps ... *snort
loving the splash of colour
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that your swap partner will be very pleased. I love those teeny weeny triangles.
ReplyDeleteOoooh looking pretty darn good! As someone that normally starts on a swap project the moment I get my partner I'm a tad behind - as in I've not even pulled out any fabrics. Better get my act together!
ReplyDeletehehehe almost hoping for no snow just to see a pic of you with 3 disappointed children and redundant sledges...not that I want your kids unhappy, I just want to see the look on your face.... lol (sorry, I know, thats so evil...I apologise)
ReplyDeleteEeekkk! I am so excited to see the full view! You've got me all in a flap. (har. har.)
ReplyDeleteThe title of your post made me snort!
ReplyDeleteYour pouch looks lovely, flaps and all
The pouch looks great. Enjoy the snow, I'm hoping fo r a snow day on Monday, as snow day = sewing day
ReplyDeleteJust seeing the sneak peeks, I can already tell that I love this pouch. The little pops of color are fantastic!
ReplyDeletei think it is lovely! can't wait to see it, minus the disappointed children... ;)
ReplyDeleteWaiting for snow photos and zip pouch photos too.
ReplyDeleteThis pouch looks supremely pro! Can't wait to see the whole shebang. Hope you get lots of snow...are you up yet on Sunday morning? Is it all white and magical?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! We've got up to inches of snow this morning instead of centimetres. The chickens won't come out of the coup and I think I'll take their lead today and hibernate in the sewing room and make a new bag for work.
ReplyDeletePretty! Love lime - shall I just ski down and collect it now! Leave it on the doorstep as I guess you will be out sledging after all!
ReplyDeleteWow! I am jealous of your partner! This is lovely. Makes me want to rethink and start again!Great stuff! too much punctuation! needed!
ReplyDeleteLove how even the teensy HSTs give a glimpse of what the fabric is...if that makes sense?!
ReplyDeleteWish this was for me...it's stunning!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun getting in a flap!
ReplyDeleteI'm drooling!
