Today there has been a lot more sunshine, in fact it is actually 'summer', really, who'd have thought we would get any, which means a lot more of this...
... some car washing, swimming lesson and lounging about, as well as completing the first secret project on my list.
I also received a lovely parcel from Jo-Bearpaw; I know that's not Jo's real name, but that is what I call her in my head.
I am experiencing, what I am nick-naming 'nesting by proxy' in fabric form. I am planning on making one of the quilts from Hexa-GoGo for my sister's baby, but seeing as they won't be finding out which flavour they are having for a few more weeks, I am pulling, gathering, and now buying, for both options!
So when Jo announced a discount on purchases from her lovely online shop over the weekend, a quick peak turned into a little shopping and some more FMF...
Jo popped in some lovely buttons too, which will come in handy when the weather breaks and I need to keep the girls occupied for a while.
Tomorrow I have a few errands to run, including getting my In The Frame Purse Swap parcel all wrapped up for mailing later in the week, and then it'll be time to fill the paddling pool and bust open a box of Cornettos!
Happy Days xxx
Happy days indeed! Glad you are getting a taste of Summer- just in time for the Olympics!! Love the FMF!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are nesting by proxy! I am doing the same thing for a friend, but she already knows she is having a boy so I have no excuse to buy girl things too...although I guess my little girl could always use another quilt :) I love the FMF!
ReplyDeleteOoh I am jealous. We got one afternoon of blazing sunshine and then.....rain. Boo! Your fabric pull is looking lovely. I will be embarking on a similar task myself in the next week or 2....3 babies to make quilts for due at the end of this year/start of next year and I won't know what any of them will be.
ReplyDeleteI was nearly swayed by Jo's fmf deal, then I checked my bank balance! Lucky you and lucky baby, whatever flavour ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think everyone in Britain did at least two loads of laundry today!
ReplyDeletethere is nothing better than sheets fresh off the line!
ReplyDeleteLovely purchases! Still raining here - booo! Enjoy the sun! Jxo
ReplyDeleteOh do shut up about the sun lol The best I can say is that at least it held off raining until after the 10k and my subsequent 1 1/2 mile walk to the station...
ReplyDeleteHurray, it's summer. I hope it lasts a while for you
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what you make for that baby! Congrats on seeing the sun, too!
ReplyDeleteYippee for the summer at last! My youngest moved out in January into his very own flat so why did I spend all day yesterday doing his washing and ironing and overloading the washing line? (Yes he does have a washer and dryer and iron/board!) At least your washing came from the kids who actually still live with you. x
ReplyDeleteNout better than fresh sheets off the line! Lovely FMF! Enjoy the sunshine, happy paddling :)
ReplyDeleteIf only I had a garden to hang the washing out in ;-). I love that hexa-gogo book, which quilt are you planning on making?x
ReplyDeleteEee! Sale! Why do you keep spending my money, Hadley? Why?
ReplyDeleteOoh summer in your part of the world must be very beautiful indeed. Looking forward to catching up with your plans!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you have finally got some sun, enjoy it! And good shopping there too.
ReplyDeletemmmm... cornettos!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing constructive I've managed to do today is washing. I had to stop myself washing stuff that didn't need it just because!! I got mine yesterday but haven't had chance to do my photography or blog about it because I've been feeling poorly.
ReplyDeleteI think I may have been the only person not to be doing washing when it was sunny...because my washer died!!! Still, my new one plays me a tune when I switch it on/off and when it's finished a cycle - what more could you want?!! I'm envious of your shopping, especially the buttons!!
