***The Giveaway Is Now Closed***
It was touch and go there for a while if I was going to have to sit out Giveaway Day this time around, both as a giver and as a hopeful winner, but here I am, and I have a little something that I hope you may like to win!
As regular readers will know, I went a bit panic-sewing crazy last week, trying to get as much done as possible in good time for Christmas gifting, and one of the makes on my list was a new lightweight infinity scarf. OK, not strictly gifting, as it was for me, and I already have about 8, but I had bought some Valori Wells voile specifically for that reason, and didn't want winter passing me by without getting it made. So I made two!
What I am offering up is a pink/orange dandelion voile infinity scarf, backed with pink Anna Maria Horner.
From memory it was made using c. 18" by 60" cuts, but don't hold me to that!
As modelled by my glamorous assistant. |
Followers get a second bite at the cherry, leave a separate comment telling me how... obviously I like the followers that I can count in my sidebar best, but bloglovin or whatever takes your fancy, is fine too!
This giveaway is open internationally; I will draw a winner, using Random.org at 9pm GMT on Friday 13th December (lucky for one!), I will be asleep at the official closing time, and out for all of Saturday, so it's then or never.
Good luck peeps; as with these (hopefully) popular events, I will not be responding to individual comments; please make sure you are not a No Reply Blogger (or leave your email address in your comment), otherwise I will have to redraw, and I reserve the right to delete duplicate comments, just to keep things nice and tidy.
If this is your first time visiting, 'hello' please have a look around. It is probably best to skip back a month or so at least, because things have been a little slow in the health, computer and making departments of late, but I am hoping to turn that all around in the New Year.
Right, time for me to have a pootle round the giveaways, I may be some time. Good luck everyone xxx
I have about 12. eep! ;/
ReplyDeleteI lost count after 10, or rather I got too upset to count any further... And then there is the course work that needs to get finished over the Christmas break. I am sure some will have to be kept until the next gifting opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI think I only have one left. We'll see if I add more, I'm not on top of things this year ;)
ReplyDeleteI follow you via bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteMostly finishing left...sewing up 10 or so pairs of fingerless gloves I've knitted, finishing the knitted acorn ornaments, sewing two play houses together (that I made last year and never finished!) sorting out who gets what...and yet I sit here at the computer! Queen of procrastination.
ReplyDeleteUh, 1 quilt top, 2 pillows and a tablerunner, one other pillow and some stuff for my etsy shop.... Way too much! LOL!

ReplyDeleteks(dot)eyles(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)uk

ReplyDeleteSeriously gorgeous assistant modelling the equally gorgeous scarf. I have about four more things to make for Christmas at first count but as I sat here typing this I mentally realised I missed three things off that list. S**t!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple things left, but I didn't set my handmade goals very high this year!
ReplyDelete2 pairs of pajama pants!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous model!
ReplyDeleteHow many things left to make? That would involve having already made a plan! I have stuff to make and am really hoping that inspiration will strike soon!

ReplyDeleteHalf a dozen infinity scarves, but none in your yummy fabrics!
ReplyDeletei did not plan any handmade gifts this year...though i was considering crocheting some slippers for my kids. this scarf is beautiful

ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, i have way too many! at least 3 bags. i gotta get crackin'!
ReplyDeletei follow through blogger!
ReplyDeleteFor a moment there I thought you were giving away the child, then I realised you might leap on that suggestion with alacrity, so pretend I didn't say that ;o)
ReplyDeleteI have 2 things left, but one is a bag that I have to make up the pattern for, and my brain is so fried from work right now, it just isn't happening - ugh!
I trail around after you on a regular basis...
ReplyDeleteI don't really make Christmas gifts. I just don't get time. I'm a teacher and it's the end of school year in Australia which just adds to the crazy. I am thinking of making some table runners for the women in my family (4) this year. Will see what I can get done in the week of holidays before Christmas. Otherwise I've got a Christmas quilt I'm just finishing the quilting on the borders to get bound as well before Christmas, and another top I want to get made into a quilt before the new year begins.
ReplyDeleteI have my first Christmas this weekend - so I still have some homemade baking to do for gifts. All the knitting and sewing is done, thank goodness,
ReplyDeleteSix . . . here's hoping!
ReplyDeleteI follow you in Bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteStill to make? Let's see, three quilts (two are currently tops that need backs etc and the third I've done the fabric pull for) and my daughter added two bags to the list today. Totally doable with a full time job and two kids right?
ReplyDeleteHmm, 2 quilt tops, 3 bags, about 10 pouches, 3 pairs of pajama pants, a few pillowcases, a new set of napkins and some potholders and an infinity scarf....and no, I won't give up this one if I win! I've been eyeing this up since I first saw it on your blog!
ReplyDeleteI follow you by email, have for a while now!
ReplyDeleteLovely scarf! Thanks for the chance :) I still have at least 2 things to make... And SAS many as 5. I have back up things to buy in mind in case I don't do all 5!
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow via feedly :)
ReplyDeleteI have 2 quilts left to finish up before Christmas. I follow you via Bloglovin and Google Blogger.
ReplyDeleteI have a chalkboard and chalk roll up for my granddaughter and a dress to finish. Merry Christmas. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
ReplyDeleteI am happy to follow you on bloglovin. Merry Christmas. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
ReplyDeleteMy little one would like some new outfits for Christmas so I need to get busy. I have a pair of pants and two t-shirts already cut out but need to find the fumph to sew.
ReplyDeleteI have at least eight gifts to sew but school is out but winter break begins athursday and I can focus on sewing instead of studying.
ReplyDelete2. But they're both quilts. ouch.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeletethis is really cute.
ReplyDeleteI am only committing to one more hand-made item; a Pendleton Messenger Bag for my daughter. With my crazy work schedule and way too much overtime (now finished), I bought the rest of my hand-made gifts at local bazaars where I know who made the lovely items. My goal is all hand-made even if its not by me this year.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
And I'm a follower plus bloglovin'
ReplyDeleteI just have one - a quilt for a friend! this is a great scarf, thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI have to make 3 pyjamas and I hope to make some doll clothes for my girls.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on all my projects but one. I am determined to get my Christmas quilt done.
ReplyDeleteAbout 5 also, but I'm not putting pressure on myself, so we'll see if any of them get done. It's much easier to run to the store!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower through bloglovin'.
ReplyDeleteI think I have about 6 things that I want to make before Christmas. I need to get busy!
ReplyDeleteYour gorgeous assistant models that really cute scarf well. I still have a quilt to complete, along with at least six smaller projects.
ReplyDeleteI follow you on Bloglovin.
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous scarves!
ReplyDeleteI have five things left to finish too... running out of time!
ReplyDeleteOh no, are you going to make me count them? 7? I'm sure i'm forgetting 1 or 9 others though
ReplyDeletetoo many! At least 6 I think!
ReplyDeleteI follow by email :-)
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few things to finish, all in all I think it's seven. Gosh I'd better go find my swing machine. TTFN! Thanks for the chance of winning!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog on feedly.
ReplyDeleteGod, I didn't think I had any until I started thinking about it and so it would seem I have 5 things to make/sew before the big day! I don't think the scarf would look as good as it does on your gorgeous girl, but hey, I'll give it a go! Thanks for the opportunity to win it!
ReplyDeleteI follow you good self by email :) That's why I'm always a day behind (I think!)
ReplyDeleteI have way more than I like to think about! I have cut out and waiting to be sewn-2 stockings, 6 bowties and a purse. Then I need to embroider 4 shirts and then make Christmas PJs for my niece and nephew. Then ....I don't know, I can't remember but I know there is more.
ReplyDeleteI would love to finish some more things but I know that I am lazy so after my swap table runner there might not be done much more. But my moms birthday is coming soon after so I might finally make her a quilt ....
ReplyDeleteI'm down to 1, but it's a quilt so it'll take me some time, school breaks up on thursday so time is ticking, instead of working I'm having to much fun with the giveaways! I can hear my mum shouting "priorities!!!" at me!!
ReplyDeleteI have a stocking to make and one teeny, birthday gift.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course I am a follower and just remembered another gift item - duh!!
ReplyDeleteI've got about 5 or 6 things to finish and maybe start….. but the biggest thing is a massive king size Swoon to bind!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
And I am a very happy follower!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I have 3 quilts to quilt and 2 to assemble and those are the 2 that have to be done.
ReplyDeleteOh and yes I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteOnly four, but one of them is a dress I haven't even cut out yet. Guess I should get off the computer!
ReplyDeleteOnly 2 pairs of oven gloves to go!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of course ;) Lovely scarf and assistant!
ReplyDeleteI have to finish one baby blanket, two pencil cases (more complicated ones), two paper pieced patterns for pillowcases and one wall hangin (also paper pieced... ).... The most important is the baby blanket...
ReplyDeleteehodasz at yahoo dot com
Following you via e-mail. Wonderful scarf, thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteehodasz at yahoo dot com
On my design wall are 5 table runners which I "only" need to get quilted and bound!!
ReplyDeleteI follow you through Bloglovin. I use that too, and really wish there was a way to have those followers showing on my sidebar. Perhaps I should write to Santa?
ReplyDeleteonly 1 - a weekender bag that I've been making since April and won't get finished before next April at this rate!
ReplyDeleteI've got about 6 or so ~ the list keeps growing. I was lucky enough to go to a sew day given by my guild (PMQG) and got lots done!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on getting yours done! and thanks for the lovely giveaway!
I'm not sure how many handmade things I have to finish because when Christmas gets here...I'll be finished.
ReplyDeleteDoes each piece of doll clothing count separately? Yikes! I really do need to get busy. I have too many to count so I will call this "one" work in progress. Haha
ReplyDeleteI follow you via email.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 quilt tops I am hoping to back, quilt and bind.

OH man, you are really going to make me sit here and count?! Ok, let's see. 4 dresses, 3 stuffed deer, 1 zip pouch, a few partridge ornaments and probably more that I haven't realized I've forgotten.
ReplyDeletesimplybeu(at)gmail.com
I tried not to set too many goals for myself... But of course I did. I have 3 close friends expecting babies next year so baby gifts for them. Also 2 little nephews who I cannot leave out. And well, haven't even thought of something for mom or gran yet... Pff, I'll see what I can finish, everything will be an... after-Holidays gift...
ReplyDeleteI have 3 I'm PLANNING on, but I typically get brain storms for last minute things and then stress myself out!
ReplyDeleteI have 8 to work on!! My heart is racing just thinking about it... hopefully I can pull it off!!!
ReplyDeleteAll of them!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, only about 6 or 8!! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYikes, being here in France for my study abroad program means I have at least 3 gifts to finish, and I'm scared to think of how many more.
ReplyDeleteI love following via Bloglovin, as I'm able to keep up with all the wonderful crafters whose work I adore all in one place. Thank you for such a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI have two many to mention and my machine went into the shop last week. It was supposed to be done the next day. I am still waiting.
ReplyDeletemaggiecolorado@gmail.com
Still to do: Let's see, most of a large quilt, a towel-wraparound thingy for my 9-yr-old after a shower, something for my nephew but he's 4 months so he may just have to wait and pajamas?? Oh goodness, now I'm in panic-sew mode too!!
ReplyDeletenew follower with feedly
ReplyDeleteI have a minimum of 3 larger items, and would love to finish 4 or 5 smaller potholders for stockings....but I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe Christmas potholders will work in Easter baskets?
ReplyDeleteI have 3 possibly 4 left to make depending on how productive I get between now and Christmas day. Your little model is adorable so is the scarf.conn_and_vans_mom(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI love infinity scarves. In fact, I think to enter a 12 step program! I finished my last "have to" project over the weekend. Now it's back to sewing for fun. I am beginning to cut up Christmas fabric for a postage stamp quilt. I know I won't get it finished this year but it will be ready for next year and it's fun to work with Christmas fabrics during December and not feel any pressure!
ReplyDeleteI have three things that MUST be finished and some other "if there is time" little stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will make you feel better: I still have to make 2 quilts, an iPad cover, nook cover, 6 crayon rolls, a wine tote, a pillow cover (using 1" finished squares of course), 6 stockings, a tree skirt, 3 zippered pouches, and I'm pretty sure there's something I'm forgetting...good luck to all of us :)
ReplyDeleteLove the scarf and the model! I have to sew on 9 buttons to 2 dresses and two bags and i'm done ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy follower
ReplyDeleteI don't have anything to make, but a lot of housework to do.
ReplyDeleteI have two quilts to finish. One is at binding stage with some applique on the back to go. The other is nearly pieced so quite a bit to go. I am hoping to make some key fobs. Any tips for making them?
ReplyDeleteThanks
Karen
I follow on bloglovin. Not sure how to follow on the side...
ReplyDeleteI have three small gifts for small girls, and 3 quillos. And not nearly enough time to do them. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower
ReplyDeleteToo many to count??
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteone - a baby quilt for the new grand
ReplyDeleteI follow via Google. LOVE your infinity scarf. I made one a few weeks ago and got great compliments at church. I never thought of "backing" one with another fabric. Brilliant! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI have five gifts to finish also. One is getting a binding today. One is getting a binding this weekend. The other three are same as snowman wall hanging #1 and I am doing each step until it's complete so that those three will finish at the same time. I'll get them done. Good luck with your finishes!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower via Feedly
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to finish 2 projects before year's end, but no real rush. But the recipients might think otherwise....
ReplyDeleteI am with you, about five things. 3 tote bags, and 2 more mug rugs.
ReplyDeleteWell, officially I have nothing on my list as I have not committed to handmade gifts for anyone. Unofficially I was supposed to finish the pickle dish (not happening) and I had an urge to knit hats for all the kids - mine and the cousins but that would be 11 and that is not happening either. So I will probably make some hats for those kids who have not had a new one for a couple of years and leave it at that. Lovely giveaway, I would love to win.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog everywhere, on the sidebar friend thing, in Feedly and on Bloglovin too. I read it in feedly these days.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I'm not making any gifts this year. I just didn't have the time or motivation to do it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!

ReplyDeleteI have one more project to finish. Waiting for a little more fabric to arrive.
ReplyDeleteI follow you via Bloglovin.

ReplyDeleteThanks!

I won't be making anything this year, as I'm in the mad rush of finals and won't be done until the 20th, so I'm buying all my gifts this year. I have barely started, though, so I need to hurry up and get through finals so I can go shopping!
ReplyDeleteI have 3...2 that HAVE to be finished before Christmas, one can wait! ;)
ReplyDelete
