Knock knock...

Who's there?
Some tiny little old lady courier, (that's what she was, not what she was delivering), and Daniel the postman.  Why, who else were you expecting?

I got all this today...

... containing all this...

... more Oakshott HSTs, and Stitch Tease blocks from Valerie and Ange, mwah!

And this huge parcel from The Book People....

... containing a load of birthday and Christmas pressies for the kids.  I am doing my best to be prepared; online shopping I do very well, ahem.

So it was a good day to be home, and also the builders next door knocked off at a record-breaking midday, and I then got to sew in peace and quiet...

... I attached the HSTs, and now that's 3/4 of the beautiful mystery Oakshott quilt top all sewn together.

All looking mighty fine.

  3. That was a good day! That Oakshott looks good, but knowing Oakshott it's probably looking much better still in real life...

  7. The HSTs look great, for some reason i thought there was more black, but this is much softer. Your bee blocks look just as fab as the others, its going to be yummy

  8. I love the effect of the Oakshott HSTs, I have a growing collection of solids in colours which just appealed at the time and am looking for inspiration. I think your blocks have set me going. Brilliant

  9. Sounds like it was an (almost) perfect day to be at home, no builders at all would have been the ideal!

    Loving the Oakshott .

  10. That's a beautiful quilt top, are the HSTs random? They look random but in a very structured way IYSWIM- they look too good for a random arrangement!
